Words from an Indie Artist

I had the opportunity to sit down with one of Solar Entertainment Music Group's artist known as Classic. Classic I must say is a strong artist with the will, energy, discipline and eagerness to make it to the top. No matter if Classic is given one day notice or 1 week notice, he is ready for the stage to perform. His style on stage is one of a kind. He not only charms the ladies but leaves the men at awe as well. Classic, born Anthony Smith, knows how hard it is for an Indie Artist to make it in the music business. They not only have to work harder, but they have to keep at it. Short trips to the surface for air and then its back for more laps around the ocean that is surrounded by other hungry indie artists - all lurking around the same spot for food. Read what he has to say about his career as an Indie Artist.

"The difference between a Indie artist and a major artist thats signed to a major is a lot and ill start like this. Theirs the good and theirs the bad the good thing being a indie artist is that you have a lot of freedom and say so in your career you are hands on with every thing the project is like your baby and its your job to take control and care of the project majority of the responsibility is yours what you put in is what you get out. the bad thing is you have to work a lot harder to build your fan base and to get your self heard and out 2 the public in a lot of cases you well spend more money then you make I believe that's only in the beginning becuse after you make a name for yourself and you get some buzz around your city and abroad you can make that money you spent back and more. The bad thing in my opinion being signed to a major is you have to many people telling u how 2 do you and I mean how u should dress how u should talk and how u should write your music you can't even really express the real you and the way you truly feel in your own music untell you've reached a serting level I guess you have to put your work in first.I also feel that with a major you are not in control of your career and the creative aspect of your project they pick what song should be your single and what songs shouldn't even make it on the album. The good thing is you can have nation wide exposure u can become a house hold name and other people takes care of your marketing and promotion and if your good the money u make won't be bad"

Strength from Within Leads to the Success of an Author

It takes a special kind of person to cope with sexual abuse as a child and be able to survive through those struggles alone. It takes a stronger person to be able to relive those moments in print for the world to see. Rosie Banks is that special, strong person that opens up closets on the chapters of her life she would have rather nailed shut. But instead she unveils what she endured in the hopes it would give others the strength and courage to move on.

In her book entitled “abused and suffered” Banks delivers a powerful message to her readers. That message is trust in God. Sexually abused from a child on up to her teenage years and even forced to prostitute at the hands of her abuser, Banks turns back the clock and yet once again deals with the pain, confusion, struggles and thoughts of suicide. But what Rosie wants her readers to know is that they too can use their past as a stepping stone and become a successful person as she is today.

Banks, an Evangelist for Fresh Anointing, located at 657 e 79th street Chicago
Il 60649, under the leadership of Bishop Christopher Ellis and Apostle Dr
Heidi Ellis was also inspired from her childhood events to open up a nonprofit agency entitled God’s Heavenly Places which, when open will accept teenage girls who have also endured abuse at the hands of others and are struggling to hang onto the dangling rope of life. God’s Heavenly Places, as states in their Mission Statement, puts a chair under the girls to stand on, giving them the opportunity to get a better grip on life and continue up that rope towards success.

Rosie banks book, “abused and suffered”, which she is currently seeking Publication, proves to be a model for others to fall back on when they feel they are at wits end. This book when released will definitely not be shelved along with other nonfiction books. It will find its place on a bedside table next to the bible for reference and testimonial truths as it gives encouragement and a roadmap for deliverance from the evil that lurks within.

Keep an eye out for this novel from this new Author. With today’s troubling times and nowhere to turn, many find comfort in the words of others, especially when that other person has lived through what someone is struggling with them.

New group on the block!

Whatsup yall!!!! WEST COAST! May I stop to say that 2010 is OUR YEAR!

And with that said, let me welcome S.W.A.G. on board Solar Entertainment Music Group! S.W.A.G.! Instead of listening to me...let's let them tell it. Straight from their MySpace page, peep this:
"This is the history behind the name S.W.A.G. It began in the year of 1989 when Xaron White, Barry Hubbard, And Xarel White were born in Redlands California as well as Milwaukee Wisconsin. Not long after that they began imitating Rappers and hip-hop artist who inspired them to this day, such as Jay Z, Fabolous, and Ice Cube. Wanting to follow in the footsteps of their inspirations, they soon discovered they were blessed with the gift to write music. Upon that gift they decided to create their own image and unique style of music. While entering early teenage years they began performing in talent shows, high school rallies, as well as in front of family and friends. During this time they were given their stage names, 2nyc3(Xaron), K.B. (Barry), Certified (Xarel). Recently in 2006 2nyc3, K.B. and Certified created their name S.W.A.G (Style With Accomplishing Goals) pertaining to the image and style of music they displayed. To follow their dream and inspirations S.W.A.G recognizes the long road ahead filled with, hard work, determination, and persistence, along with dedication. This is the biography behind S.W.A.G "

S.W.A.G. has completed two projects thus far that are soon to be released: "Get You Poppin", and "Side to Side". Stay tuned for information on where you can get your copy.
